I've been blog tagged!

Dru Lavigne blog tagged me, so time to join the meme. :)

Apparently I'm supposed to blog five things about myself that my readers don't know, and then tag five other bloggers. Let's see...

1. I probably decided that I wanted to be in IT when I was 14 years old. Before that, I wanted to be a rock star. I even joined choir (although it didn't last - that actually required being present at school), and I did a number of solos at my Baptist school. I still sing in the shower, and although I've got a mediocre voice, my taste in music is the worst imaginable. I sing Kelly Clarkson songs. No, really.

2. I can't cook. I can barely microwave. I didn't used to be this bad, but now I can't even boil water without setting something on fire. I would never get fed if not for delivery/takeout.

3. My grandfather was an FBI agent. Now he lives in North Carolina on a christmas tree farm. I haven't seen him in quite a few years. I remember him being quite dour.

4. I read Dragonlance books religiously. I know; that's nerdy even for me. I've been reading them since I was 6 years old, and I have no intention of giving them up anytime in the near future. Raistlin has always been my favorite character, closely followed by Kitiara. I probably spend at least an hour a day (usually before bed) curled up with a Dragonlance book.

5. I wear a size 6 in boys shoes. I have been searching at every Target near and far to find a pair of light up spiderman sneakers, but they only go up to size 2. I will find a pair of light up spiderman sneakers and wear them every day. It will be awesome.

Hehehe, time to pick some targets..

2. Colin Percival
3. Nick Miles
4. Mike Nicholson
5. Digital Ebola

Oh dear....The closest I've been to a rock star is actually playing guitar in a band on stage in pubs'n'clubs in the early nineties.....I really can't cook, Chinese takeaway is my friend....And I just bought Amber and Ashes - the dark disciple Volume 1....before xmas...What does that say about me huh? RH just think ,your not alone.......

The second book in the Amber series is out, as well. I just finished it. It's turning out to be a great series. I can't wait until the third one is out. :)

Back in the day before I became a 'proper' electrical engineer (before the army as well) I worked as a tape jockey in a recording studio in London. I met lots of rock stars (Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, J hendrix etc etc etc) and used to play bongos with Marc Bolan in Hyde Park.

Luckily after my 14 months in the army, my uncle gave me £1000 and I got educated and gave that life up. It was just a teensy bit boring.

If you're playing tag with Dru Lavigne you're on the right path.

Cool, I'll have to take a trip to the book store to pick it up. Of course while talking 'bout books, I really dig the Elric of Melnibone series, Hakwmoon series and Prince Corum series by author Michael Moorcock. Dug those in my teens and recently started reading them again. Some are out of print, but I know they re-released the Elric series. You'd like probably those too, assuming you've not read them.........now only if I a a soul eating sword called stormbringer...

Greetings, I have to say.. but you are the cutest thing on earth.

Dreamy.. :)

All girls who sing sing kelly clarkson songs, or at least all the ones I know.

I've wanted to be in IT since I was 13 or 14 as well, I started playing MUDs on the free shell that my ISP provided and I was hooked. My dad is a blues singer/songwriter, so I had the whole "rock star" idea on the backburner as well. Rock stars don't get to build networks.

Dragonlance? Love it, I think I started with Huma, then read Kaz and spent a brief stint in Ravenloft for Vampire Of The Mist, but by far my most favorite books are the Twins series.. and I'm TRYING to finish the war of the souls as we.. uhm.. speak?

Did you read the Forgotten Realms books as well? Like the Elminster saga or Avatar series.

Ofcourse he tagged you, you are a bsd girl with a homepage called freebsdgirl.com. Its a bsd-nerds dream.
